A Poem: Crossroads
Good morning my friends. Here is one of many poems I have written during the past three weeks. Although written prior to my arrival at the Keystone 2015 Conference, the words and meaning are apropos.
Seeing good friends and sharing deep soul rending feelings in Nikki’s new look — the look Nikki has been seeking for almost three years — I am home, finally home in my body with my friends feeling fabulous and so looking forward to the next milepost on my journey.
Please visit my daily blog and come walk with me as I live my life in color!
Thanks and I look forward to seeing you and sharing a hug.
Crossroads
Standing at the fork in the road of life
Behind me anguish and strife
Which leg of the road
Can bear my load?
Pondering the decision I feel
As if the right road will peel
Away the rind
Life will be kind
If I make the right choice
I hear voices, noise
Is that my name on the wind?
It’s not as if I haven’t sinned
But sins can be wiped clean
Making my soul pristine
Such decisions confuse
A former recluse
Out and about
Wanting to shout
Help me find the road
That will decipher the code
To the life ahead
Show me where to tread
Standing at the fork in the road of life
Behind me anguish and strife
Which leg of the road
Which can bear my load?
How can I choose
When I may lose
The right to live
The one change to give
The person inside
My Mr. Hyde
Expression, presence
Instead of nonsense
Forcing me to stay
Away from the fray
Call my name
I feel no shame
Relying on the wind
To carry the next verse
Open and honest, not terse
I won’t complain
The answer is there
The riddle laid bare
My path lies ahead
I’ve no need to dread.
